"This is very cool work ... being a very nomadic applied statician I am probably your ideal customer" (fan)

Professionals

Beefy computing when you need it. Easy to expense. Pay for it when you need it.

Soon: 8GB+ RAM support!

What are other professionals doing?

One of the biggest uses of Monkey Analytics is as a source of high RAM (64bit / 8GB+) computing machines - these are hard to come by for many of you.

Every professional we have spoken with is excited by this product. You people "get it" immediately. Almost as if you'd been waiting for something like this!

Monkey Analytics fits the professional consultant well with its billing friendly model and inexpensive / scalable approach.

Teachers / tutors

Powerful teaching platform for math, science, and basic programming.

Soon: sharing controls!

How are teachers / tutors using this?

Some of you have realized that a Monkey Analytics account can be shared with students, enabling you to work together on math / science problem sets remotely.

Some professional tutor / teaching organisations are evaluating Monkey Analytics as an institutionalized method for teaching math computation (Octave) and basic programming (Python).

Students / hobby

Free and powerful. Matlab license no longer required for basic computation.

Desktop apps are annoying!

How are students using this?

You don't like spending $100 for a student version of Matlab that they may never use again. You'd much rather use our basic plan ($15 / semester) for your classes.

Besides, you use Gmail or Yahoo Mail, and are annoyed when you have to use thick client software. And no more worries about whether your homework is backed up!

How are hobbyists using this?

One user story we'll share: someone was struggling with a slow desktop machine while analysing a wav file with Octave. A short Google later brought them to the Wikipedia page on Octave which describes Monkey Analytics. 60 seconds later they were computing happily away at Monkey Analytics!
